Relevance of Active Zone Minutes

I don't understand the significance or relevance of zone minutes.  The mere description of how many points one gets for different activities is NOT helpful or applicable to understanding whatever zone minutes are and how they actually impact one's wellbeing.

Have you seen Fitbit's help file on Active Zone Minutes at https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1379.htm ?

In there it says:

"To start, your goal is to earn 150 Active Zone Minutes each week. The American Heart Association and World Health Organization recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity, or a combination of both, each week. If you earn an average of 22 Active Zone Minutes daily, you meet these recommendations, but you can change your goal based on your needs."

It gets worse.....  If you go to the GOAL in Iconic watch and click on teh Zone minutes you get asked if you want the tutorial.   The tutorial explains very little but at the end you are offered the chance of settings of 5, 10, 15 .....100, 105, 110.  There is no indicator what this means and how it is to be used.

What does 5 mean ?

What does 110 mean ?

Thanks for your comment. As an active 78 year old, I rarely have a day with less than 150 zone minutes which is supposed to be the default weekly goal. While active, I don’t think that goal makes any sense. Neither is there anyway to translate it into whatever I should be doing. I wish there were more data based info on this new, but dubious, fitness goal.
