Restart is required to turn on Ionic

Hi, i've got an Ionic which has served me well since I've had it, but the last few months whenever I shut it down and leave it, I can't turn it back on without doing a 3-button reset, and if I leave it off for a day the battery drains to 0% without even being turned on. The battery does seem to be draining much faster now too.

Any ideas?

Hello there @BobothyLFC, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delay in responding your post.

Thanks for the details that were shared and for troubleshooting your Ionic before posting, seems odd that it's behaving in such way. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Since you already restarted your device to no avail, please follow the next steps to perform a factory reset:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

I'll be here if you need further assistance. Keep me posted.

Hi ,

I have the same problem just after updating to latest OS. And I tried factory resetting, but still not solved the problem. I think the new OS changed something
