My Resting Heart Rate has jumped from low 50's to now to low 70's only happened in the last three months.  I can see it increasing dramatically - Should I be worried or is there an issue with the Ionic with regards to Rest Heart Rate?

@Eagle-73 Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for posting your concern regarding the resting heart rate readings.

I wouldn't be worried about resting hear rate being at 70's because according to the American Heart Association "the average resting heart rate is 60-80 beats per minute, but it’s usually lower for physically fit people.” Check this article from the AHA for more details.

Also, do you wear your device to sleep? You will get better readings if you do. Also, your resting heart rate is usually higher than your heart rate while you are asleep, so don’t be surprised if your resting heart rate is higher than the lowest number that you see in your heart rate graphs. Please check this heart rate article for more details.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy
