Unfortunately the answer is no.
Best AnswerOther than displaying the time (i.e. being a watch) it was the only feature I used. FitPay isn’t available with my bank yet, and weather doesn’t work. Now that I no longer have the option to quickly get to the music controls or start music, the Ionic is functionally worse than a $10 digital watch.
I understand that the fitness tracking is the primary function of a FitBit for most people, but I’m having a hard time understanding how they could take a major feature so many steps backwards, essentially removing it.
(For anyone unaware: the ability to swipe to music controls is gone. The music controls are not an app, so it can’t be manually assigned to a button. It also can’t start music anymore, instead having a message to start the music on your phone. There is also no API access, so developers can’t write an app or watch face to fix it either.)
