For those people who have sync & notification problems between Ionic and phone. I have found a solution that should work. I was consistently getting sync issues loosing messages, notification having to restart my bluetooth restart my watch and my phone several - many times just to get my ionic to sync and receive notifications. Emails back and forth to Fitbit to tell me to do what I have been consistently doing to get it working. I have found a solution which I hope will help many people in my situation.
Three months on from doing this fix I haven't had any issues and everything has worked perfectly.
Step 1. Factory reset your phone.
Step 2. Install Fitbit app & connect Ionic.
Step 3. Enable notifications.
Step 4. Check all is working fine.
Step 5. Install your other apps may be one or two a day over the next few weeks and keep checking all is working fine with your ionic.
I found that there was an app that I had installed which was putting my bluetooth in a standby mode and not letting Fitbit access the bluetooth to communicate with the ionic even though my bluetooth was turned on.
Hope this helps......
