Screen only shows wifi picture

I bought the Ionic yesterday, setup went well and watch was working. This morning I only see the Wifi symbol on the screen. Information is syncing to my phone fine, but I don't see any stats on the watch.

@kawigirl, I am not sure what WiFi symbol you are seeing on your phone - I don't recall seeing any WiFi symbols.  When you press the "back" button (the left button) does it not return to the clock?  Have you restarted your tracker by pressing the left button the bottom right button at the same time?

Although my Ionic does not seem to connect to Wi-fi most of the time, sometimes the Wi-fi icon displays on the watch screen. I'm not sure what it means, because it syncs at other times, when it's not displaying  the WiFi icon.

Since the new update my ionic shows the wifi symbol on the screen sometimes. What does that mean?
