My Phone notification got me all hyped up for the new Fitbit Ionic announcement today. I always thought the charge was missing something and this new watch is exactly how I pictured it. I love my fitbits and I have been using this Screen Protector brand since the fitbit zip and until this very day, my screen looks new even if I attach it to my dog's neck collar now when we go running in the afternoon. lol! they should make one for dogs haha. I already put my order in for both my new Ionic and this shield saved all my fitbit devices. I recommend this company.

Thanks for the link, I was wondering about screen protectors too. I wonder if there will be any issues with the curved display though, I can't tell if it curves vertically and horizontally or just horizontally. I think if it's the latter we should be ok with film protectors.
You're welcome! My charge 2 and my wife's Alta HR is slightly curved and I really prefer glass but I have never seen any glass type for any of the curved fitbits as I use glass for our phones and tablets. this shield is flexible. if it is flat I'm sure there are glass type for it but ionic looks slightly curved like the charge 2.

Same brand I use as well. Very rarely have to change them as well

If the Ionic has a Gorilla Glass display, I wonder if a screen protector is necessary?

Agreed. I've a dislike of screen protectors as they dull the display and change the touch-feedback.
I had assumed you probably dont need a screen protector, but Im not exactly sure what gorilla glass is!
Just Googled it. Sounds pretty hard wearing to me.

Any feedback on your protector? I looked on amazon and the ones that had reviews were pretty bad. I have hit my ionic against door frames etc a bit and so far no scratches. Hope it is me-proof 🙂
Best AnswerI bought some very cheap screen protectors from an Amazon supplier. They fit fine but didn't stick properly on the corners of the screen (maybe due to the curve?) The first one vanished in the swimming pool. Need to fit a new one now - want to keep Ionic pristine in case it needs to go back.
Best AnswerI highly recommend taking a look at the IQ Shield screen protector. Mine went on easily, doesn't mess with the touch/sense feedback, and is ultra clear.
NOTE: I do not work for IQ Shield.
Best AnswerI bought Illumishield from Ebay. The one with Anti-glare to reduce the reflection on my Ionic.
Best AnswerI put the first (of seven) protectors on my Ionic yesterday; it is virtually undetectable, looks great, and hasn't caused any functional issues.

Best AnswerI bought and used the protector that you are highlighting. To other's questions about whether or not it is needed.... you never really know til you wish you had had one on it... so at least for now, I am electing to err in the direction of "safe". The protector fits well and looks pretty good. You can certainly see that it doesn't look quite the same but it is certainly visually acceptable. It does feel less slick and the touch, really swipe sensitivity is a bit degraded. Again, acceptable but noticeable. For the small cost, I'd recommend getting one and trying it out.
@shipo Were they a wet install type? I have received some Skinomi that are wet install. I'm still debating whether to use them or not at this point, they do seem a lot less tacky feeling to most wet install ones though.
