Self-repairing dead Ionic?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Ionic died last weekend and as it is over 1 year old, Fitbit is refusing to replace it. Since I see this is such a common issue, I was curious if anyone on this board has opened up the Ionic and had any luck repairing it? Usually I wouldn’t try something like this, but since Fitbit can’t repair it, I don’t see a reason not to try.

Hi @Harvman11 thanks for your post, it's nice to see you participating again in the Community Forums.

I'm sorry to know that your Ionic device is not responding anymore, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. Let me share with you that Fitbit doesn't have a repair center to check your device, therefore, our Customer Support team assisted you accordingly to our warranty policies and provided you with some options. That said, I recommend you to get in touch with them again if you have want more information and details about the resolution that was provided.

I'll be around if you need anything else.

Hi @RicardoFitbit, that’s why I was asking here on the forums. I’m aware from my interactions with Fitbit customer support that Fitbit is not able to help with my Ionic, so my question is directed at the community.

Since so many people have had their Ionics die, has anyone tried to repair it themselves? If so, has anyone had any luck?
