Several inconveniences with Fitbit Ionic

I got a Fitbit Iconic for Christmas. This t has been nothing but trouble. It has never worked longer than 4 days in a row. I have had to reregister the unit on numerous occasions. The weather app has never worked on the watch. It works on the phone app but won’t display on the watch. The Pandora App works on occasion, but cuts in and out quite frequently. Right now it is frozen on the recalibration screen. It won’t react when you press either button. I’ve let the battery go completely dead and then recharged the battery and the recalibration screen comes right back on and freezes up. This thing is a waste of $400.

That's strange, mine had a year guarantee. Got a refund the other day after buying it in Jan. I am in the UK.

Did you ever phone customer support and have them start a file

They told me that these are known problems with the Iconic .

most problems are from the updated apps, mine worked perfect until the recent app updates prior to oct 2017, nothing but trouble since then and @Fitbit refuses to fix the problem. however they will send you the trouble shooting link and ask is everyone in the same time zone and thank you for your patience we are working on this

I got mine for Christmas too and have had the same issues.  The current state is that it tells time and the NFC payments work reliably.  It sounds weird but I'm almost satisfied with those two features.  The major features I expected but don't?

- Data connected apps (weather, stocks, etc.) I don't even look anymore knowing they will be empty.

- Music control  of what's playing on my phone (never works)

- text notifications work occasionally but not reliable.

- Screen auto on with wrist movement (had to turn it off since the screen would stay on and kill the battery)

I'm ok trying for a replacement, but I figure these issues are all software related not HW.  Do we really think that a new watch is going to be different from an old one with the same software?

Exactly. That’s what they did to me. Plus trying to tell me that the new line has everything fixed. They even offered me a $25 rebate for upgrading. No thanks. I’m probably gonna take out a newspaper ad to bring these problems to the public’s attention.

Couldn't agree with you more - I feel like I was conned now as the app is useless.  The fitbit itself is good but the app has gone from bad to worse - I'm ready to give mine back to the supplier!
