Severe Battery Drain (25% per Hour)

Had Fitbit since Christmas and I could go several days without charging, even after running each day and using GPS.  I updated to the latest OS last week sometime and everything was great.  Then all of a sudden, I started losing battery life at a rate of 25% per hour.  For example, last night, before bed, I charged it to 100% and by the time I woke up the watch was dead while not doing anything other than sleeping.

Things I've done to troubleshoot.

-Restarted multiple times.

-Updated iOS.

-Restarted Phone.

-Unchecked All Day sync.

I have not done a factory reset. If I do that, and I update to the latest firmware, will the issue still remain?

I've read several threads about this issue and have not come across a solution, not have I seen anyone who is suffering battery drain at the rate I'm experiencing it.

Any solutions?  Something I missed?

No one can guarantee if the Factory Reset will cure the problem, jp, but that is exactly what I would do considering all that you have already tried.  If that doesn't work, then contact Customer Support.

I'm seconding the Factory Reset.  Plug the device into the charger and go to the "Settings" option on the watch.  Scroll until you see "Reset To Factory Settings" and follow the prompts.

I'm currently in the middle of a factory reset.   I'll let you know how it goes.  Thanks

I tried a factory reset and updated the watch with the latest firmware and the problem wasn't resolved.  I contacted Fitbit Support via chat, and after a fairly quick conversation, and them reviewing the battery consumption on the back-end, they deemed it abnormal behavior and are sending me a new watch.

That's great news, jp.  I was pretty sure they would be sending you a new one after all your extensive troubleshooting produced no results.
