Slow UI response, battery draining while just on the wrist

Dear community/admins,

I have my Ionic now for almost 2 years and all was well until yesterday when I charged my Ionic for a straightforward day. Afterwards, I noticed the UI being really laggy, like sliding the main menu had visible input lag of almost 1000 ms. Furthermore, the battery has been draining like mad, even though it is just on the wrist and no features, like GPS are being used. So far, I have reset the thing two times, swapped clockfaces, deleted the Strava and Spotify apps and checked for new updates. Nothing has worked and it sucks, because I do like the device. It caters to my needs, like cycling, hiking, running and swimming.

Does anyone have additional ideas or should I contact Fitbit Warranty?

Kind regards,

Mine started about 7 days ago when smart wake stopped waking me up. I thought it was an alarm issue so I deleted them and reset them. I then noticed my watch was flat when I woke up, and going flat during work. Along side this I noticed the menu lag you mentioned. Incredibly frustrating to think a gift a little over two years old, is now rendered useless and non-repairable. I am out of warranty but would absolutely recommend getting in touch, they have been very good to me in the past. Good luck
