My Surge starts the music on my phone when I double press the left button.
The ionic doesnt. How do I START the music on my phone with the watch? Once it is started, I know the music can be controlled once it has started. So how the heck do you START IT?!

@TheFunkSoulBro There is a Music app. Select the playlist you want or shuffle all.

No mate. That plays WATCH stored music that you have transferred to it. I want to initiate PHONE stored music, like the Surge does.

- If you have an Android or Windows 10 phone, first turn on Bluetooth Classic to control music on your phone. If you have an iPhone, skip to step 2.
- Open the Settings app
on your Fitbit device > Bluetooth > Pair.
- On your phone, navigate to the Bluetooth settings where paired devices are listed. Your phone will scan for available devices.
- When you see Classic next to your Fitbit device, tap it.
- Open the Settings app
- While music is playing on your phone, press and hold the back button and swipe right to the Music Controls screen. You may see the current track playing or the most recently played track.
- You may need to change the audio source to your phone if you previously listened to music stored on your watch. Tap the 3 dots, then tap the phone icon to change the audio source to your phone.

Watch. Settings / Bluetooth has only one option called “connection options”. From there you can “add audio device”. At no point is there a “pair” option and at no point does the iPhone Bluetooth display anything like Ionic Classic” it only ever says “Ionic” which is already connected.
Skipping to step 2 does NOT initiate the music on the phone. It only controls it when it is already started manually on the phone. This does not answer my question, unfortunately.

Ok, i'm sorry I couldn't help.
I would suggest checking out the help article: Why can't I control music with my Fitbit device? There may be some troubleshooting steps you can follow there.
