Steps counted when I pocket but not coming up in graph.

Hi,

i noticed that that when I remove the Ionic and place it in my pocket (like when I’m in the garden) that my app (IOS) is displaying the step tally but the graph just shows the time as blank. I thought it might be because of the passcode lock but I unlocked it today but the result was the same?

So is there something I’m forgetting to switch on?

Thanks for sharing your inquiry. In order to further investigate could you please take a screenshot of the time when the steps are not shown and post it here?

Catch you later!

Hi,

So I have contacted Fitbit directly about the issue, but no resolution as yet.

The issue is basically when I put my fit bit in my pocket it counts the steps but graphs show blank for the period ,also affects other data as well.

Attached is a screen shot off my iPhone but it has the same issue logging on to the online dashboard through my PC as well.

Thanks

Very curious if you got a reply.  I've noticed the same thing. I pocket it when I go grocery shopping or am pushing a stroller.  I get the credit in the main tally, but not the interval graph, and thus they don't count for the 250 every hour or for challenge (which is really irritating).  I suspect it has something to do with not detecting your heart rate.  I would think this has been reported enough by now that screen shots aren't needed and tech support can tell us exactly how to get our full credit in all tiles.

Hi there,

After some very heated emails back and forth and my issue apparently going all way to FitBit HQ I was told that basically since I’ve removed it from my wrist it’s not their problem and that they were not going to rectify it, I was completely disgusted in the way I was treated and the outcome.

Ugh, that's just ridiculous. I'm glad I used money earned thru the fit program at work to buy this one then and kept my charge 2 even if the notifications don't work on that one. I've never known their customer support to be like that. I suspect it has something to do with it not registering a heartbeat, but none of the predecessors had this issue!

Yeah I noticed that to with the other models not having this issue.

Again I couldn’t understand why they didn’t want to rectify it so it was at least as accurate as the lower models, I would have thought it might be just a little bit of code to fix up nothing to difficult!

It’s just a real shame as I do like the Ionic and I really did expect a better attitude from FitBit
