Steps not being counted

I have noticed that while being indoors my watch stops counting steps.

 

This happened a few times while shopping at costco and also at my local supermarket.

 

Has anyone here has experienced similar issues?

It's probably not because you are indoors but because you are shopping (as strange as that sounds!)

 

When your arm is not moving as it does normally when you walk then it is prone to miss some steps. This can happen when you are pushing a stroller, holding the rails on a treadmill, or...when pushing a shopping trolley.
