Would be nice to be able to access alexa thru ionic ie: I want to be able to turn my lights on and off that are on smart plugs through my alexa.

Unfortunately, the Ionic doesn't have a microphone so Alexa won't be coming to the Ionic.

An app with touch buttons would work for what I want to do, such as turn lights on/off and maybe control the thermostat and open garage doors etc.

You might want to create a feature suggestion for that at https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/idb-p/features

 

I had a quick look and it seems that nobody has proposed that before.
