Hi all I might sound stupid but I have just got an Ionic and I know it says waterproof to 50m I just want to swim in a pool but do I need to do anything before or after? Was bit worried about the charging point I guess as long as I towel dry it after I should be fine?

Hi @Warner770,
Good question. There's not much you'd have to do. I would recommend rinsing it off afterwards, so any chlorine and chemicals in the pool don't have a chance to eat at the seals. But that's just my preference.

@Warner770 Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for taking the time to post on the Fitbit forums. I'm glad you are going to wear Ionic to swim.
Something you can also try is the swimming exercise option you will find on the Exercise App on your watch. Tap the gear icon on the corner of the swimming option to check the settings available and set them up; you can also set the pool length on your watch. Then, start your swimming while your watch is tracking it and once you are finished it should show you the activity summary.
Note that swimming is also tracked automatically with your watch. However, to see the summary on your watch use the option above. Check this article for more details on this.
@WavyDavey Thanks for sharing your help on this thread.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted! ![]()
