I recently switched to the Ionic from the Microsoft Band 2. Everything is fine so far. The only important feature I miss is the smart alert.
Let me explain what it does: you set an alert when activating your "sleep" function. It will then watch your pulse and movement and wake you up up to half an hour before the configured time. This helps with not feeling groggy in the morning, when the usual alert drags your right out of your good sleep phase.
I know the Ionic has no ability to active sleep tracking because it does this automatically. Though it would still be awesome if such a feature would be added so the alert app on the watch does not wake you up abruptly.

Apparently this feature -- battery full notification on the app whenever the device goes from below 75% to 100% -- is, for some reason, not available on the Android app, so that is why you are not receiving it.
Works very well on iOS. I get an app message whenever mine is fully charged.
I do not know why this was not implemented on Android.

Wow. So you have iOS on Windows phone apparently. Wonders will never cease.

If you do a Google search you will see full battery notification was added to the iOS app as far back as 2015.
Of course if you'd prefer, we can continue with the @Julia_G conspiracy theories. She probably doesn't even have an iPhone, or a Fitbit, or an arm. Or she probably doesn't even exist at all. Maybe we don't exist.
Or it could just be the functionality she has described is indeed part of the iOS app. 🙂

She's moved from "The alert will be on your phone/tablet/computer" after I asked her several times to iOS only.
As you can see she runs Windows Mobile, but now she's changed her mind and is running iOS.
She even thinks 80% means full.

@SunsetRunner, you do not need to be so rude! I use iOS, Windows Phone 10 and even Android on various different devices. I rarely use Android because I think it is a lousy OS.
I generally sync my Fitbits with my iPad, where I receive an alert, while my Fitbits are charging, when they reach 100%.

Well you have created a lot of confusion and have done it again! You are now apparently charging whilst on 100%.
Calling me rude and android lousy certainly fits your profile and finally answers all the questions I asked to you. Have a nice day.

I don't know why you have to give someone a hard time for trying to help.. I'm not sure why Android does not show the fully charged notification, it should, I would look on your phone and see if you have notifications turned on for the fitbit app..

Lol do you think I haven't tried? As I said the Android app reports full on 80% plus. There is no push notification. Julia said all devices would show notifications and clearly stated she was on Windows phone. Later clarified she's on Apple, and said Android does not work because it's rubbish (thanks Julia for that). Anyway we got there is the end after several times saying the same thing over and over again.
In future it's just so much simpler to report your own experience with your own gear clearly stating what it is, rather than tell people how things work for them and therefore must work for everybody else, which frankly comes across as pretty aragant. Here we have Apple users telling the rest of us what should happen on "lousy" Android devices. There we go. Thanks for all your help.

@SunsetRunner, I actually spent a fair bit of my time trying to find out about your issue, and in fact I was genuinely trying to help.
You stated that it was a "bug" that the app said "full" when it was only 80%. I tried to explain that as the app only indicates "full" "medium" "low" then at some point it must decide what number to go from "full" to "medium".
Does it go from "full" to "medium" at 99% (well, 99% is not full, is it?). But that seems a bit extreme... How about 98? 92? 85?
You don't like that it says "full" at 80% (I haven't checked this, but I am taking your word for it). However, this is a decision not a bug. Because you don't like it, doesn't make it a bug...
You and I might think a better decision would be to have the app show the exact per cent -- as does the tracker itself. I agree. But because the programmers made a different decision doesn't mean it is a bug either. Once they decided to report approximate levels then somebody had to decide where the cut off for each level is. That does not mean I am a fool because as you say, I believe 80 % is 100%.
In any case, I hoped to be able to offer some help with the information that the app would send you a message when it was fully charged. I spent some time trying to work out where the setting for this was (in the app or dashboard settings) since you apparently were 't receiving these messages. It was only then that I found that it only worked on iOS and I posted that last night. I found your response very rude and I said so. I also reported you to the moderators.
Not knowing that this notification of 100% battery was only available on iOS was my error, and I apologise. As I said, I do not know why it was not implemented on Android since I find it very useful and helpful, and apparently you would too.
My signature is very clear about what I use:
"Julia | UK
Ionic, Blaze, Charge 2, Alta HR, Flex 2, One (retired Charge HR & Flex) - Windows 10; Windows Phone 10; iOS (iPad), sometimes, unhappily, Android"
@gibbyhome, thank you for your support. I actually was honestly trying to help, though I clearly did not succeed. I did make a mistake in assuming that a feature that has been available on iOS for a couple of years would also be available on Android.

1) You should read your signature again, it says nothing about Android or iOS. Just windows. See screenshot.
2) You imply that I'm making up this 80% thing. Well thanks a lot.
3) You were saying behaviour happened across all computers and devices before then backpedaled and said not android.
4) You tell us android is rubbish.
5) You seem to think reporting 80% as full is not a bug which I find somewhat laughable, and I'm entitled to my opinion. You also say programmers made a decision.. really? Where did you read this? It doesn't take a lot of intelligence to realise that full is 100% and no less. Strange you can't understand this point.
6) You have just said I called you a "fool", that's a total and outright lie and is totally not my style. I have not been rude about you personally whatsoever, I've just pointed out the inconsistenies on what you have said, you respond by saying I'm rude and report me to moderators LOL. You're doing a good enough job as it is I don't need to pepper anything thanks.
At least you've had the decency to finally own up to something. Well done for that ..
Anyway thanks very much for your help.

Thanks for at least attempting to offer practical steps rather than an opinion piece, claiming to understand the design as though you are the developer, or just bouncing it back at us without pointing to a solution.
It's a nice attempt but I'm afraid If you read the article it's about setting up calls, texts, calendar events, and apps for notifications. I have all those running nicely. There is nothing here about setting up or getting battery notifications.

@SunsetRunner, I repeat, that I was genuinely trying to help you. I am sorry that I did not succeed and I wish you all the best in enjoying your Ionic.
The Fitbit signature thing is a little complicated as they have different signatures depending on which device it is displayed on. What you are seeing is a truncated signature. That is really not my fault, but, nevertheless, I apologise for what you see.

If your notifications are working nicely, than I would contact tech support. My fitbit app show stuff like Full, half full or low. not percentages. my Ionic shows that actual percentages. when charging I get a notification when full just like if one of my Fitbit friends cheer's me or pokes me. In your case I would contact fitbit support. and see what they say .

Like I said my notifications are working just fine (as per the link you supplied). There are simply no notifications for battery, and I haven't seen any documentation about it either.

Hi, @gibbyhome, like you, I assumed that @SunsetRunner, ought to be receiving full battery notifications, as long as he had notifications correctly configured. However, I have spent quite a lot of time investigating this over the last couple of days -- despite the very unpleasant, even nasty and insulting, responses I have received.
After doing this research I am pretty sure that this is unfortunately NOT available on Android (I do not know the reason) so I do not think that it would be helpful fir him to contact Customer Support. It seems that it is not available on Android; I don't know why.
There is a feature request for a battery full notification here that you might want to vote for. The feature request forum is a bit of a mess, but I think this is the top request. Voting for feature requests dies put pressure in the developers to add a feature.
