Sync Issues

The reliability of this device when syncing or altering any app settings with Windows 10 app or the mobile app is absolutely atrocious right now.

I am tired of seeing "Securing Fitbit Wallet", "Trouble Connecting", etc even after resetting device, app, making sure Windows 10 app and mobile app are not competing for connectivity, resetting bluetooth, and every other common sense approach to solving these sync issues. I should not have to spend this much time researching and calling tech support to get basic functionality out of this $300 device. I can't imagine how irate I would be if I wasn't as tech savvy or as much of a fitbit fanboy.

As a company shareholder, and enthusiastic day-one Ionic buyer I am very upset that my overall user experience has been this bad.

**also, I know someone will likely respond with a collection of links to workarounds or fixes; I appreciate any help but this post was more about making it clear that I (and many people that don't have the time to sit on this forum and dick around with their device all day/night; which are the same people who stick their devices in a drawer or return them) JUST WANT IT TO WORK.

BTW I did figure out how to get it to sync but man is it a pain in the **ahem** to have to reset / restart everything all the time just to get it to do what it is advertised to do.

A warm welcome to the Community @aaarrroonn! Thank you so much for the feedback that you've provided, I totally understand your point about the troubleshoot that you had to do in order to properly sync your Ionic; Fitbit is always trying to improve your experience with Fitbit trackers.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to sync your Ionic after the procedures you performed. If you would like to learn more about your new tracker, you can check the Product Manual

its not the windows app.... its the ionic device its self. To add I am having a horrific experience with Sync. I have tried against Windows 10 and my Android device. Both running the latest app version.

Ionic Version : 27.25.16.7
Windows 10 : 2.26.1310.0
Android : 2.60

The ionic I have yet to have a consistent experience with sync. Never really connects to either device well, I get a rough sync here and there. Its no where near as consistent as my surge , to the point of mass frustration.

However I had an EVEN bigger concern today. When it did appear to sync to my android device, my data appeared to change into the app.
My active minutes went from 357 minutes to 57.
My moving went from moving every hour TO only showing 3 active hours.
This is more concerning to me then the inconsistent syncing. Losing the data or the data changing from the device to the application is a huge problem and concern.
