I've read the stories on syncing issues with the Ionic and I am at the same point as many.
I'm trying the process again as I write. I have not had this many issues with syncing and I have used

Mine updated via Bluetooth just fine, so just make sure you KEEP your Ionic and Phone in close proximity. You shouldn't have any issues once the Bluetooth connection is underway!

YEAH!! You won't be able to do anything until the Fitbit Logo is gone from your Ionic, until then it's still either Downloading or Installing. Be patient, your almost there!
