My Ionic will not consistently vibrate and show me my texts. Each time this happens, I make adjustments to the settings on my watch and iPhone in accordance with numerous sources who give advice of how to fix this. Sometimes these steps work, sometimes they don't. When they don't work, I reset my watch. Regardless of how I fix it, the text message alerts/vibrate will only work for 3-4 days and then stop. All my other notifications work consistently. I never have a problem with them. Even my phone calls show up on my phone and makes the watch vibrate. I only have the problem with the text message notifications. Has anyone ever had this problem and figured out a way to fix it?

@britt4duke Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to share the situation you are experiencing with your Ionic and text notifications. Thanks for trying those steps in order to sort this out and for sharing all of those details regarding this issue.
What text notification app are you using to receive your texts on your watch?
You could try turning off the notifications from your watch (tap and hold left button to access Quick Settings and find Notifications), syncing your watch, and turning them on again.
If that doesn't work; try all of the steps shown on this helpful article. If you already did some of these steps try them again in the order given there. This has helped other users in the past.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

I’m not really using a text notification “app”. I simply wanted my watch to vibrate when I received texts on my phone, which worked for several months, but suddenly stopped working. I have tried your solutions several times in the past and just today after receiving your suggestions. I returned the watch and got a replacement. This will be my 3rd Ionic in less than a year. If this one fails, I’m afraid I will need to move on. I was super excited about Fitbit developing a smart watch. I really hoping Fitbit continues to improve their smart watches.

@britt4duke Thanks for your reply and for trying the steps provided and sharing those details.
I'm glad you are getting a new unit. Once you receive it; please follow these replacement set up steps for you to not loose any of your previous data.
Let me know how that one works!
