I switched yesterday evening from a blaze to ionic. Everything works but I realized this morning my calls / texts are still going to my old device. Old device has been removed from App. I have reset new phone and synced. Any suggestions?

thank you!

Hi, @johnt11, even though you have removed the Blaze from your Fitbit app, you will need also to go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and remove/forget your Blaze there.  Then make sure the Blaze is either turned off or well out of range.

Next, on your phone go to your Fitbit app, and choose notifications and follow the steps.  That should prompt yoour phone to pair with your new Ionic and you should get your notifications there.

If you continue to have trouble please post again letting us know which phone you are using for more detailed instructions.

ok - I got the issue fixed. Now I’m wondering on storage of texts - does Ionic store them? I have seen many different answers to this. Two different Online Chat texts said they auto delete once they’re viewed on the phone. One of the phone techs said they should store a period of 4 days. Any clue as to who is correct?

Thanks!

From my experience, once you read/interact with a notification on your phone it is removed from the Ionic. If you read the notification on your Ionic and do not Reply/Clear it will remain on both devices.

Prior to the firmware update that added Quick Replies, notifications always remained on the Ionic until you specifically cleared them on the Ionic.

Again, this has been my experience.
