Hi everyone, my name is Michelle and I’ve been using the Fitbit brand since I had a Fitbit One. I was in an auto accident years ago and before my accident I was a very physically active person. Unfortunately, because of the accident, and multiple issues that I’ve been through after the accident I’m now not able to be as physically active as I once was. I recently lost my mom in February of this year and I started losing lots of weight by the month. My doctors thought that I was going through grief but it ended up being that I had a large gallstone. So I had to have my gallbladder taken out in June. I ended up losing a total of about 50 pounds in 4 months because of the gallbladder situation. I have other things going on with my health and its been very hard to get back to eating when my stomach will not agree completely with the food that I’ve been trying to eat. The heart beat tracker has been very helpful through all of this. Especially on August 17 when my body decided to take a dump on me when I was walking to the kitchen and I ended up passing out and hitting my right side of my head somehow on the kitchen table on the way down to the floor. The Fitbit Ionic was on my arm and keeping track of my heartbeat through that entire time. What I would find out about later is that my heartbeat dropped about 30+ points during this time. I went to the doctor and got diagnosed with a concussion and also found out that the neck surgery that was done to fuse a disc in my neck was the only thing that held during the fall. Now I’ve got the disc above my fusion bulging out one side and then the disc below my fusion is bulging out the other side. So major whiplash happened plus I’ve also been now diagnosed with concussion syndrome.
My my doctors are so thankful that I have the Ionic watch and app to keep track of everything. Well, I’m getting a headache now but I really wanted to let the Fitbit family know that their products have helped me tremendously.

Thanks so much for the positivity. I’m working really hard with my team of doctors and my family and friends and my church family have been very supportive during this difficult time. Without all of these things and people that I’ve got in my life I don’t know what I would have done. But having everyone in my life and my strong faith has been extremely helpful. Thanks so much for the warm welcome and I hope that I will be able to come back often.
