The first run(s) are not being tracked or sync‘ed.

When I do multiple runs in succession, sometimes only the later runs get sync‘d and tracked. This has happened at least twice now and does not appear to be related to how many exercise periods (i.e. runs) are being stored prior to syncing. Last week, I only had 3 runs in succession and only the 2nd and 3rd were recorded. Today I had 8 runs but only the last 6 were recorded. Yesterday I had 5 and all 5 were recorded. HOWEVER, the steps and overall distance are being tracked accurately. This would lead me to suspect this is a problem with the sync functionality, either on the iPhone or on the Icon itself. I will try running with the Surge for a while and see if ot has the same issue.

Hi, @Wawazz, are you relying on "SmartTrack" to record your activities, or are you tracking them using the "multisport functions" of your device?  I find actually starting and stopping an activity on the watch works reliably to record all activities.  However, relyng on SmartTrack instead. if I do not sync between activities detected by SmartTrack, later ones overwrite earlier ones.  I have not seen this generally or widely reported, but I have always assumed it was a bug.

Hi Julia - I am manually starting and stopping the activities on the watch and hitting End between activities, not using SmartTrack.

I guess in that case the sync was, as you say, incomplete.  Have you checked back to previous days to see data arrived eventually?  Sometimes not everything updates at once.

There is also currently a sync issue for some Android devices.  If you are using Android, would it be possible for you to temporarily sync using another device to see if that helps?

Hi, @Wawazz Ben!

I would very much suggest discussing this with Fitibt Customer Support on contact.fitbit.com.  Please give them as much detail as possilble, as this is a very interesting and important issue.  I would be really grateful if you could follow up here on what they say, as I think this could help others.

Best wishes!

Thanks Julia - I will follow up with Customer Support. I have been doing some troubleshooting of my own, trying to replicate the issue with the Surge, but so far the Surge syncs all the runs just fine and I have been unable to replicate the problem. At this point, I am only having this issue with the Ionic. Ben
