Hello,
I followed the online manual to transfer itunes playlists to my ionic. Fitbit app shows all playlists, But I cannot activate any playlist for transfer. For every playlist all songs are shown. But all songs have an "attention" icon, which tells me that the file cannot be found.
As workaround I added directly manual a folder from one album the itunes library. But I've created playlists that contain different artists and albums. Therefore, this is not a solution.
So what should I do?
Many thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,
I found the problem. I had to add manually the root folder of the itunes music library. After that, all songs were found.

I'm now having a similar problem. I'm trying to transfer 3 playlist from iTunes but half of my songs are not transferring. I keep getting an error saying "File Not Found" could you tell me how you fixed your problem? Thanks in advance.

Hey there @KSGeek @Krummacker, it's nice to see you guys around! Thanks for the steps you tried in order to connect your music with Ionic, nice way to go!
However, I'd recommend taking a look at this great post from @ErickFitbit for more troubleshooting steps and a complete guide on how to transfer your personal music to your Ionic.
Give that a go and let me know if you need further assistance!
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

I have windows 10 and cannot get this to work. The fitbit app cannot find my files. I have done all the recommended items regarding XML. What gives?
Also how do you get the desktop without going through the MS Store?

how were you able to manually root your music from itunes in order for it to transfer. I have 2 songs from one album that wouldn't transfer and every other song on the album did with no issues.

I'm using a Mac and having trouble transferring music from iTunes to Fitbit connect. The Fitbit Connect cannot find my created playlist. I'm finding myself going round it circles using all the help found in the Fitbit community. Now starting to get very frustrated 😞 , can anyone help?

I had the same problem. I resolved it by creating a new playlist within the Fitbit app, and adding the music saved on my computer.

Since it seems there is no easy way to get your music on the ionic could we all just send our play lists and our watches to you (Fitbit)and put them on the watch and send it back?

If Fitbit Connect shows reddish triangles to the right of songs warning Can't find file. Tap gear icon then Add Folders. 1) The app should be rewritten to say Can't find file. Click '← Music' in upper left corner. This will take you back to the Playlist selection page, where you'll find the gear icon the current message refers to. There you can click the "+" symbol to add paths to your music files. The poorly worded/poorly laid-out software combined with transferring songs via wifi instead of via the USB charge cradle is frustrating to say the least. Hire me to be your Technical Writer, Fitbit. I need a job.

After clicking the gear icon, click Advanced (or Advanced Settings) to get to the + path button; I'm attempting to transfer music as I type and I don't want to interrupt by confirming exact wording--my apologies.

One last thing, it would be nice to be able to edit posts here, so I could add subsequent step numbers 2) and so on, in original post. But I'd catch things like this in time as a Tech Writer, honest!

Not sure if you will see this or not, but if so, could you ask him to update it? I'm not having issues with getting it to connect, I'm having issues with a "find folder" error when trying to transfer my personal music.
Being that it was in 2017 that he posted, it makes sense that it would have been a complete guide back then, but it isn't anymore. I can't seem to find anyone who has a solution to this same issue.
