Turned off Fitbit and now won't turn back on

After having the Ionic since it was first available, today I recharged it, but it stopped syncing. It was a black screen. A search showed me that I should turn it off and then on again. I turned it off -- and now it won't turn on. Nothing. Zip. Zero. Nada. My phone can't find it. Is it dead?
