Unable to link LG G3

I am unable to link my G3 with my new IONIC.  For the first time I am not impressed with Fitbit...  One of its strength has always been how easy its devices were to set-up.

I am able to link, upgrade and sync with my IPAD Air 2.

I have tries every steps suggested in these forums.  (Turn off watch, bluetooth, factory reset, remove the app and reinstall, etc.  I have been at this for over two hours...

This means I wont be able to get phone notifications on this "Smart Watch".

I also believe we can't use the payment service in Canada.  Nice.

I am likely going to return this to the store.

Did you link the Ionic with your Ipad prior to your G3?

I did initially.  I then removed everything, removed the apps on both phone and IPAD, did a hard reset on the ionic, and tried to link the watch with the phone first.  No success.  I then tried to reinstall to my IPAD and that worked and all the updates reinstalled.  Still no joy on the phone.

I will try this morning with my wife's phone (G4).

The reason i am asking is because after i linked the Ionic with my V10 it was impossible to link it  with my Ipad afterwards.

Well, I finally got it to work.  I installed it on my IPAD first yesterday and phone would not work.  I upgraded the watch through the IPAD.  Worked fine on IPAD and on the website, but still not on my IPHONE.

This afternoon, I tried installing it on my wife's G4 and it was found (but I stopped the install).  I then decided to try again on my G4.  The G4 knew I has a IONIC (probably through the website) but it did not sync.  I removed the app totally from my IPAD tried again.  My G3 can now sync with my watch and I can receive notification.

Very tricky.  I would imagine this will be fixed through updates.  Note that before I updated my watch through the IPAD, it could not find my phone at all anyway.  So my IPAD saved me...
