Unable to pair headphones, what's pairing mode

I have tried at least 2 dozen times to pair my Sony wireless earphones with my Ionic. I have not managed to pair them with my Ionic even once.  After I tap "+ New Device", I see "searching" and then "still searching" and then I always get "No devices found".

I've had these earphones for months and they pair very easily with my phone and iPod Nano.

Would love any suggestions.  this is very frustrating as I was hoping to run with my music that I transferred to my Ionic (after much frustration figuring out how to do that) but I have to continue to do my runs carrying my phone or iPod (which I was hoping would stop with the purchase of the Ionic).

Did you find a fix for this? I am having the same issue with my Remax RB S5 Bluetooth headset which has Bluetooth version 4.1

It's a day by day for mine. One day it will connect the next it wont. I
have to go in every time and pair the device... it's like it forgets them...

Pairing is done from your wireless earbuds.  Mine says "pairing" when I hold the power button on for an extras second or so.  For the original pairing, I had to turn off my iphone, as the earbuds would pair with it and not go to the fitbit.  After pairing, it will be listed on your ionic.

I had to use a magnifying glass to see the instructions for the Q12 Soundpeats and I still haven't been able to pair them with my Ionic!  Ridiculous!

I am sooooo trying to figure out how to connect my LG wireless headphone.  It's connected to wifi.  Ionic is connected to phone, bluetooth and wifi.  Can't figure out how to connect ionic to headphones.  Keeps saying "searching' "not found".  No button to hold for "pairing" or I don't know what it could be because I've tried them all. 🙂

Did you go to settings (on the Ionic) - Bluetooth (connect to headphones)?
If your headphones are paired with Ionic, they should show up here and you
just click on the LG. This took me a while to figure out that I had to go
into settings to do this. Meanwhile I had a difficult time getting the
Ionic to stay connected to wireless for some reason, and it must be
connected. Sometimes I had to use the Fitbit app on my laptop and sometimes
I used my phone. I just kept trying things until I finally figured out
something that worked. My toughest thing was to get the headphones to pair
with the Ionic and looking at what worked for others in the community helped
with this. If your problem is getting the headphones paired with the Ionic
- this is tough. I had to read the instructions for my headphones AGAIN.
It is the headphones that pair up with Ionic, not the other way around (at
least it seems that way to me). The headphones have to be in pairing mode.
I had to press the button a certain number of seconds to do this and I had
to start with the headphones in "off" position. Maybe someone who is more
"techy" can give more help. Keep us posted on your progress. I don't think
this is a very user friendly system of pairing at all. I'm not that
non-technical either, but not super techy either.

I held the power on button for about two seconds for it to pair. Had my phone off

Yep - that's what I finally discovered too - I guess I didn't realize the headphones had to do anything as I have paired other things to my phone so easily.  I discovered if I held it (button on the headphones) for more than a couple seconds, the headphone turned on and was no longer in pairing mode and I had to turn it off and start again.....so frustrating.  But once it is paired it stays paired.  I am so grateful for that!

I'm having the same issue with my JBL Inspire 500 Bluetooth headphones.  I've tried over a dozen times to pair these with my Ionic.

I was able to pair the "Runway" Bluetooth headphones from home, but my work headphones will not pair.  I've tried turning the pairing mode "on" and also "pair".  Searches, continues to search, then says, "No Devices found".

iconic's bluetooth is no compatible with most old bluetooth headsets. go to
the shop, get a new headset only after checking if it pairs with iconic.
Thats what i did. You're welcome

The Bluetooth headphones I'm referring to are a new brand and not old. I
just bought them. They are JBL Inspire 500 Bluetooth, wireless headphones.

Pairing is when the ionic and wireless headphones. Needs to be set to
Bluetooth.

I cannot be near my iphone when setting up, as it goes to the iphone
instead.

When I press the power button and hold, mine says power on, pairing.

Hope yours does as well
