Unable to setup Ionic - How to connect device to WiFi

I have brand new Ionic.  Have had Blaze for several years - no issues with Pairing, Wi-fi connection on my Iphone.

My new Ionic wont pair with Bluetooth.  Or find wi-fi.  I have followed to set up instructions to no avail and now the App is frozen at the screen.  Now what???  any help would be very appreciated!

I appreciate all the information that was shared in your post about your new Fitbit Ionic, it's a pleasure to give you a hand with your difficulties. To connect your device to your WiFi network, I suggest you to check our help article: How do I connect my Fitbit watch to Wi-Fi?.

 

After the WiFi connection, I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device. Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

 

Please make sure that your mobile device is compatible because due to a compatibility concern you can experience connection difficulties.

Unfortunately this solution did not work. At first I thought it might be my DSL wi fi at my cottage. 

So I came to the city and tried again. Started with set up and it found Bluetooth, then listed my WiFi and I entered password. Eureka!

then scrolling thru watch face, watch said no WiFi.

So then I followed your instructions thru the App, stood right in front of router and was told Unable to connect, no WiFi here. 

I have spent 3 hours or more trying to set this up. Guess watch must be defective. I will return it. Any comment?

I'm sorry to know that you're still experiencing difficulties with your Ionic device and the WiFi connection, thanks for taking into consideration the steps that were shared on my previous post. My best advise for your WiFi connection difficulties will be to visit: How do I connect my Fitbit watch to Wi-Fi? and then: Why won't my Fitbit watch connect to Wi-Fi?.

I'm having similar problems connecting to the app and Ionic watch. When I review the list of compatible mobile phones, my phone is not listed. Does this mean I also now have to buy a new phone? The set-up of the wifi and bluetooth has been very frustrating.

My problem simply disappeared. I was gathering up everything to take back to the store and I thought I would try one more time and this time no problem! Connected in no time and has been trouble free every since. I have iPhone 10 though.

I'm glad you were able to fix the problem. My phone is older, Moto G4 Play. It will pair with my Samsung tablet but not my phone. Alwo having problems setting up the WiFi on my windows 10 laptop.
