Updated Firmware on Ionic, but app still prompting it

Fitbit app telling me update firmware and will not synx with my ionic....when I update the firmware using the link says it has updated however the app still say information update needed...any ideas how to solve

@Gill400 It's great to see you in the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to share the experience you have had with the firmware update on Ionic. Thanks for sharing those details.

 

I believe your watch has updated correctly as the link says so. To double check, please go to the Fitbit app and tap your Ionic's picture at the top right corner. You should then see the Ionic and the firmware version below. It must say 27.33.1.30, which is the latest version.

 

Regarding the app telling you to update; please make sure you have updated the app to its latest version (version 2.87 released on Feb 4th, 2019). This could be the reason why the app is still telling you to update it.

How do I update the app to 2.87? Mine is 2.86 and the google play store doesn't say there is an update available. Thanks.

@Crayolakitty I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delayed response. Thanks for posting your inquiry on this thread.

 

Please follow these steps to sort that out:

 

  1. Tap the Play Store app.
  2. Tap or click the menu icon in the top left corner.
  3. Tap My apps & games. If the Fitbit app has an update, you’ll see it in the Updates list.
  4. Tap Update.
