Fitbit, in conjunction with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a voluntary recall of Fitbit Ionic smartwatches, which the company introduced in 2017 and stopped producing in 2020. The battery in the Ionic smartwatch can overheat, posing a burn hazard.
The health and safety of Fitbit users is our highest priority. We are taking this action out of an abundance of caution for our users. We will offer a refund to Fitbit Ionic customers.
This voluntary recall is specific to Fitbit Ionic devices. It does not impact any other Fitbit smartwatches or trackers.
If you have an impacted Fitbit Ionic device, please stop using it and visit our webpage where you’ll find:

Hi Tammy! I've already sent mine back in. You can access the store as many times as you like. You can only use the discount code one time. I purchased the maximum trackers, which was 5 at the discounted price of 40% off. They have three trackers for you to choose from when you go to the store. As for the refund, I'm not sure how much it is but i would assume that it's for the purchase price of the ionic. Hope this is helpful!!!
It's in the settings menu, i believe if you click the about button and scroll to the bottom that's where it's at. I already sent mine back so i can't remember for sure.

I got an email for one of my Ionics being processed for return and to allow 10 business days for payment.
They received both of them back on 03/24 and I called yesterday to get that update and last night one of the reference code then went through for payment. I am confused to why both of them did not, but maybe they will just send both payments through at the time.

@0hwell I am in the exact same situation! Mine had been "stuck" since March 12th in Plainfield, IN and I received the same email yesterday stating that I would receive my refund in 10 business days. 🙌

I followed the following link of PayPal which I got from Google: https://www.paypal.com/in/webapps/mpp/know-your-customer
Which may take 7 buisness days. Don't know if this is the right way or not.

Hi @ronderic93 this thread is over six years old and for a Charge. Any chance you're referring to the current voluntary Ionic recall?

In the US...had received the verification email back on 23 March and that refund would be processed within 10 business days but nothing yet. I called yesterday and the rep said 3-6 weeks. When I pressed that the email said 10 business days, rep said to call paypal...clearly no idea on what's going on...it's the "over promise and under deliver". Will have to wait and see.
