Voluntary Safety Recall of Fitbit Ionic Smartwatches

ionic_product.pngFitbit, in conjunction with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a voluntary recall of Fitbit Ionic smartwatches, which the company introduced in 2017 and stopped producing in 2020. The battery in the Ionic smartwatch can overheat, posing a burn hazard.

 

The health and safety of Fitbit users is our highest priority. We are taking this action out of an abundance of caution for our users. We will offer a refund to Fitbit Ionic customers.


This voluntary recall is specific to Fitbit Ionic devices. It does not impact any other Fitbit smartwatches or trackers.

I have registered 3 ionic devices been refunded for 2 and awaiting the refund on the 3.but the discount codes are invalid. Any advice

The watch was turned in sometime ago. 
Every operator have different stories on WHY it’s taking so long for refund. 
It’s telling how quick they take our Monies for a product while ignore us when payback is due. 
There’s no clear direction or information that you giving to the masses. 
Im just sick of it all, no respect for people that respected your Product!

Update- b4b have now sorted out the problem re the sms so i have been able to register the card and access my refund, finally!

After calling here and there, finally all the gift cards are working now. Yes, finally I get all my refund.

I don't believe they're going to reimburse us. Some of us were lucky, but others - it seems that they are not willing to pay.

I escalated case few time, I tried to contact them multiple times by various means of communication.

Always receiving no help, just information: call us by dedicated number. Ok, but they don't have line in my country, if I'll call dedicated number and spend few minutes on call - I'll pay a huge amount of money. Every timethey refer me to the hotline, I'm asking if they will refund costs of call - and I never receive any answer.

They are not willing to pay and they are not willing to help.

I kept phoning. They have a system where you go through to lost and stolen if all customer service people are busy. I refused to leave my details so kept redialling until I got through to someone that could help me. However as the problem I encountered had actually been resolved on the website for the registering process, I simply had to sign in again and it then asked for my mobile number. I did this whilst on the phone to the advisor. Have you tried to sign in again this week? Hopefully it will now ask you for your mobile no when you do.

Not Fitbit. You need to have received the email confirming the refund and payment card via b4b. This email asks you to register the card and then you can access your refund.

Refund is not the problem I got the email about registering a but no codes for the discount
