Fitbit, in conjunction with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a voluntary recall of Fitbit Ionic smartwatches, which the company introduced in 2017 and stopped producing in 2020. The battery in the Ionic smartwatch can overheat, posing a burn hazard.
The health and safety of Fitbit users is our highest priority. We are taking this action out of an abundance of caution for our users. We will offer a refund to Fitbit Ionic customers.
This voluntary recall is specific to Fitbit Ionic devices. It does not impact any other Fitbit smartwatches or trackers.
If you have an impacted Fitbit Ionic device, please stop using it and visit our webpage where you’ll find:

The recall on the watch has been so poorly handled thus far that I can't say it has been handled at all! Unless of course you wanted to totally deflate the Brand Value?? If so, then spot on. Seriously, Communication is failing beyond many extremely poor customer services experiences to date! And I've been a customer for 55 yrs now. That bar is so low now that I'm beginning to believe that it's not possible to fail so profusely, without it being done with intent. The intent being that most of us just give up!

I also love the way as soon as I register, I get friendly emails saying I am now a respected Jogger status and I get spammed with how to keep fit in the summer, blah blah blah. You have already caused me to crash into poverty and depression due to the stress of it all, Fitness and relaxtion is the last thing on my mind at the moment. Diazpan and counselling in now needed. Are you gonna fund that too when you finally payback what you owe???

Hi,
My Ionic is disabled and can not sync to phone. So that I can not complete the refund process.
I have opened a case for 2 months. Nobody works on the case.
Is there anything I can do to sync my Ionic to complete the refund process?
