Water Tracker app not logging water with Fitbit Ionic

I was unable to contact the developer for the “Water Tracker” app, so hopefully I can read some results here!

I am able to log the water that I drink via Fitbit app, however I am not able to get the Ionic app Water Tracker to sync with the Ionic. When I press the Water Tracker app’s blue check mark to log water, the app gives me a message that reads “Way to hydrate!”, and then it stops there, meaning it doesn’t show up in the Fitbit app as logged water. Has anyone who has used the Water Tracker app found out how to get the app to sync successfully with the Fitbit app?

Thank you in advance for the solution!

Thanks for the info @moedawg140 I had a look at the app and found the following :

1. It needs to be authorised to be able to write info to your Fitbit account.

2. The settings page doesn't seem to show it remembering that it's been authorised. This confused me initially, and I had no idea whether the app was authorised or not.

3. It only seems to have imperial measurements

4. The drinks taken don't appear in the Fitbit app on the phone. However they do bizarrely appear on your dashboard on the Web page of your, well my, account. Go figure. Not sure what that's about. It's not a sync  issue as my phone has synced everything else across.

So sorry, it'll need someone with a bit more foresight to be able to help with that, as I don't understand.

EDIT - the entries finally showed on the app, so guess it’s a delayed sync.

@moedawg140 Have you made sure your phone is nearby and connected. I’m guessing the app needs to sync, so if nothing is showing up, it’d suggest a failure in so doing.

Thank you for the suggestion.

The phone is nearby and connected, but is not syncing successfully, as described in the original post.

@moedawg140 I don’t know the app but will have a look at it to see how it works.

On the Fitbit app gallery, the app is called “Hydrate”, but on the Fitbit Ionic, the app is called “Water Tracker” - here is a screenshot of “Hydrate” on the Fitbit app gallery, and a picture of “Water Tracker” on the Fitbit Ionic:

I went and checked out the Fitbit dashboard, and saw that it logged the water that I drank, and the logged water didn't show up on my Fitbit app until a bit later in the day.  I'll agree it's delayed in syncing the logged water from the Ionic app to the Fitbit app.

Thank you for checking out the apps for me, it is very much appreciated! Smiley Very Happy

I too am having a problem with tracking water through the Ionic. Just now I tried to record 8 oz of water and when I went into the ionic to view my water intake it showed .3 oz.  This happens each time I try to record water from the ionic. The incorrect data shows up in the App on my phone and my dashboard on the computer. please help.
