I went swimming in the ocean after reading that other users were able to with no problem. I got back rinsed it off and left it to dry. When I came back it wouldn’t turn on and it’s not charging very well. I have the ionic and I just got it a couple days ago. Is there something I can do to get it to come back? It’s not responding to anything.

I had the same problem, so I left it for a day or two then took it back to the store that I had bought it from and got another one. Nothing seemed to help it. Eg (restarting, shutdowns)

@Efaub Yes i agree with @Jbh333. It is probably faulty. Either return it or contact Support (link in signature )

Exact same thing happened to me today. Such a let down after having used it for a couple months. Also seem like it's pretty common so not sure why it's being marketed as water resistant.

It is supposed to be water resistant.
I have been swimming in the sea a few times (maybe 10) with mine, and throughout last year was swimming at the pool a couple of times a month. No issues at all with my watch.
If it doesn't hold up to a normal swim (not deep diving) then I would suggest it was a faulty one with possible manufacturing issues?

I've read that there is a defect in the design that can cause water damage. I'm quite sure this is what happened to mine as others have a reported that it's not what it claims to be in terms of water resistant.
