Does anybody know if an when Westpac will be supported for Fitbit Pay?

Its one of the Top 4 biggest Australian banks.

So, has anyone heard anything about future support for westpac?

Hey everyone -- Westpac Mastercards are now supported! Check out our official banks supporting Fitbit Pay page here for future updates.

@DM08 I recommend confirming that your card details are accurate when inputting them and giving it another try. If you're still experiencing issues after trying that out, I suggest reaching out directly to Westpac for more information. Keep me updated and hope to hear some good news soon.

From what I gather, it's mainly up to the banks whether they will support the payment system. So contacting your bank and asking them when they're going to support it will probably help the process. Especially if a large group of bank members ask for them to support Fitbit Pay.

Yeah, true.

Westpac supports Android and Samsung Pay, so there should be no problem with them supporting fitbit pay.

I will email and look into it.

I contacted Westpac via Facebook Messenger and they told me there were no plans.

I'm having the same issue and getting the same error message but I'm with Westpac.

Westpac now supports FitBit Pay (as of 5 December 17).  When enrolling, I get to the Terms and Conditions, click Agree and then get the error message below.

"There was a problem verifying your card details with your financial institution.  Please verify and try again"

Has anyone managed to get it working with Westpac?

I ended up switching to ANZ, about 2 weeks before Westpac accepted it. The reason is I contacted Westpac multiple times and they said they had heard nothing about support from it, but to try their new "PayWear".

Forget the Aussies 🙂 How about us poor New Zealanders we only have one bank supported (ASB) go light a fire under Kiwibank and ANZ and I might consider getting an Ionic more seriously

@SunsetRunner Thanks for your inquiry.

Our team is currently working to add more banks in New Zealand.

I would recommend checking out our feature suggestion board and adding your preferred bank to the list. This is the best way for our team to gauge interest for new banks to be added.
