What type of bank account needed for FB Pay?

Can I just apply for a Bank of America credit card to use it on the Ionic, or do I need a checking account, ATM card or debit card as well?

As far as I am aware, you just need a recognised credit card. Contact the bank and ask them which cards are recognised (my bank recognises visa but not mastercard - very annoying!)

As far as I am aware, you just need a recognised credit card. Contact the bank and ask them which cards are recognised (my bank recognises visa but not mastercard - very annoying!)

This is for Bank of America in the US. Is that a confirmation that only a credit card is needed and not checking account?
