The standard warranty runs for 12 months from purchase but this is 24 months if you are in Europe. There are some other conditions too, such as the retailer being on Fitbit's approved list.

Best thing to do is to contact customer support via contact.fitbit.com If they can't fix it then they can check your warranty status and advise on your options.

12 months in the U.S. Mine has decided to not turn on anymore or charge out of the blue. I called fitbit - we did troubleshooting and then I was told sorry your warranty has ended. What i am annoyed about is someone who paid $60 for their fit bit got a 1 year warranty but those of us that paid just under $300 for the Ionic when it came out also are subject to the 1 year warranty. I've been a fitbit user since 2012 - not sure if I want to continue if I am spending almost $300 for it a just not randomly turn on one day, as mine has decided to do.

Warranty periods are arbitrary. Open a small claims court case and get your money back or the watch replaced via them if Fitbit won't budge. Of course, most people won't do this because it takes some effort. Your choice.

The warranty does not match the price. Very disappointed with Fitbit service. Ionic face came off the band, while under one year, service dept is giving me the run around. Offering to discount a purchase on another device. NO.  This one needs fixed. Very disappointed in Fitbit.
