I got a new fitbit and was trying to setup with OnePlus 6T phone. Fitbit app on the phone not even able to recognize Ionic. But the phone itself is able to pair Ionic through bluetooth. So, it is not the OnePlus 6T phone issue, but FitBti app is having the issue. When will FitBit fix this issue? Sadly enough, my windows 10 laptop is able to connect to the Ionic and I am proceeding with setup now. But FitBit should fix the app issue for OnePlus 6T sooner as there are more and more 6T users now.

Hi @GovaR, nice to see you here on the Forums. Thanks for sharing your comments and feedback.
Thanks for all the steps that you've tried with your Ionic. I think that you can try to sync with your OnePlus 6T but as mentioned before, Fitbit can't assure it will work flawless since it is not the list of tested devices. At this moment we don't have an specific time frame on when this will be added, but our team is working really hard increase our official list.
You have other options to keep using your Fitbit tracker, you can sync or set up via computer, laptop, or any other compatible devices. Once you make sure your Ionic is connected you can follow these steps with your OnePlus 6T:
Requirements:
As a last resource, I would recommend following the steps below:
Make sure to check your phone Permissions and leave Location on to keep syncing and getting notifications with your phone, for more info check this suggestions from @ErickFitbit.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I have did all those steps under Requirements before connecting from my windows 10 laptop and posting this message.
Surprisingly, it started syncing with my OnePlus 6T phone from yesterday. I am not sure how/why. I didn't change anything on my phone.
I will do the steps in the last resource if/when it stops syncing.
Thanks.

It started working after few days and it is still working. I don't know why it was not working in the first place and I am not sure what made it start working with OnePlus 6T suddenly.

I have been experiencing compatibility issues between my OnePlus 6t and my Ionic. Sync is fine but no notifications. The last notification I got was in December last year. Since then I have tried all of the recommendations above and all of the Fitbit recommendations, articles and tutorials (updated android versions and phone software, turn off and on notifications, both on my phone and the watch, unpair and pair again and again, remove app and reinstall, reset watch and reboot, everything)... still no notifications. I was a Pebble fan and it was so much more advanced and stable that I am getting really frustrated with my Fitbit Ionic and thinking seriously on dropping it and move to the Apple watch.

Same issues here. It syncs just fine, but I never get notifications. Matter of fact, I haven't received notifications the entire time I've had this phone. It's funny because it worked perfectly fine with my OnePlus 3 I had before...

Please check if notification access on your Fitbit smartphone app is granted on your OnePlus

My ionic works fine with my one plus 6t
All this not supported device is nonsense ,it's a Bluetooth device ,also connected via WiFi .Every device with Upto date software should be a " supported device "
I have never had a supported device with all my fitbits and all have worked fine

We have 4 Ionics paired to 4 OP6Ts.
3 are the T-Mobile version, one is McLaren.
Rarely, the Ionics have notification issues,
but a factory reset usually takes care of the problem.

As of last August, I have had no issues syncing between my OnePlus 6T and Ionic. I sort of went off on Twitter about my problems and immediately FitBit Support started helping. No issues since and finally happy with the watch. I was getting worried there.
Knock on wood. 🙂
