Is it under the About page - swipe through the apps to the Settings icon and tap on that, then scroll down
(I can't confirm as I sent my Ionic back)

I got as far as the settings and Regulatory Info, but the rest is gobbledegook.
Is the serial number the FCC ID, the IC, the CMIIT ID or what?

@NeilSKN I’m going to amend what I wrote above, as I’ve since read that if you log into your portal on the web, go to your device settings, then click on your device, when you look at the the URL of the page, the numbers after "tracker" is your Ionic’s (or other Fitbit device) ID.
For example https://www.fitbit.com/settings/device/tracker/aabbc123456a, where aabbc123456a is the ID.

Hi. I have the same problem but getting nowhere. You said go to “your portal on the web”. Sorry but where do I find this? I saw your example but I’m none the wiser.
Thanks

Welcome back @SunsetRunner. It's great to see you around @Kudds The serial number of your device can be found at the bottom of the box. Check the picture below:
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I was wondering what the purpose of a serial number is that can only be found on a box. Isn't the purpose of a serial number to identify the item itself. If the watch is stolen or misplaced and you later need to identify or prove that a paticular watch is yours, the serial number of your box does no good if it cannot be matched with a serial number on a watch (as in this case there is no serial number to be found on the watch itself)

hi @SunsetRunner
My URL number ID has all the same letters and digits from the serial number on the bottom of my ionic box, but just in different order. Is yours the same?
EXAMPLE:
Serial # on bottom of box: 1C75G24CEAAA
URL ID: aaea4ce2751c
Thank you.

The easiest is look at the box below the bar code.
For those that dont have that handy,
1) login to fitbit to your account
2) Go to the Settings section: https://www.fitbit.com/settings/profile
3) Under Devices you should see view device settings for each of your devices linked to the account
4) Clicking on the specific device will popluate an url where the last digits are the serial number

Hi,
At my job, I need to go through a security check when leaving the building. Only devices that can be uniquely identified may be registered and carried. For this reason I cannot wear my Charge2 on the job.
I was thinking about buying an Iconic, but it appears that it will have the same problem. Is there really no unique identifier on the Iconic (or the charge 2) itself, for example like the Imei on a smartphone?
I would really prefer to stay with Fitbit but will have to go for another brand if this cannot be solved.

@cGonFtbt Sorry but that is not the serial number. It can only be found on the box
If you look at your box and the URL you say has it they are totally different

As the other poster said....can intelligent technology professional figure a way to put the serial number on the device itself....like print it...inscribe it....if you throw away the box or the device does not turn on I guess you are screwed to file a claim....could that be the reason you choose not to do something so simple?

Wow. I just saw this more than a year later. I didn't realise anyone replied to this, and I was looking for the Serial no. again! So thanks for that. Funny and weird. Cheers
