While downloading music it shows "Ionic has disconnected"

Hi,

Is it possible to transfer music using the cable only and not over WiFi. I think my Huawei P20 is making it extremely difficult. Been struggling for 24 hours now. The Fitbit App (on the PC and phone) is disconnecting from the Ionic the whole time, even though the PC itself and my cellphone stays connected to the Wifi.

I am getting this message on the Fitbit App on the PC: "Could not sync because your Ionic has disconnected".

I have read on the numerous things that I should check. I just want to know about a cable option. I find this process extremely frustrated. Would have been great if you could just copy and past the files in the Ionic, like you can do with an Android phone.

It's great to see you around @Andre9014. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues while transferring music. Currently, the only way to transfer music to your Fitbit Ionic is using Fitbit Connect and your Wi-Fi network, please confirm you're following these steps to transfer music

Remember that your watch only stays in transfer mode for a few minutes. If you took a few extra minutes to choose your playlists, restart the download if you don’t see “Use your computer to start transferring music” on your watch's screen. To do so, tap Transfer Music on your watch again and wait a few moments for the download to start. For best results, plug your watch into the charger before downloading music.

If you're still having difficulties while downloading music, follow the tips on this article.

As a side note, you may want to vote for this idea: Allow Music transfer from phone. The status will change based in Fitbit's plans.

Let me know how it goes.
