Why I'm returning my Ionic for a refund

As the title suggests I have returned my Ionic after 48hrs ownership for a refund. I was excited to dive into all the tracking it advertised, but my experience left a lot to be desired.

- The HR tracking seem wildly inaccurate when exercising, both intensely and moderately. Whilst going for a gentle flat walk of 1.5 kms to try out the gps tracking, the HR monitor registered a heart rate of 176bpm! At the same time my polar chest strap read 105. I tried the recommendations of watch position on wrist, but I am a slim and the watch just slips down unless I tighten it to the point of being uncomfortable. This is not acceptable in a £250 product. Is this an issue other slim people have experienced?

- The other tracker I was excited about was he sleep tracking. Again very disappointing. Whilst watching  a film on my sofa the sleep tracker registered  nearly 2hrs of sleep complete with the REM and Deep sleep stages... This leaves with zero confidence that the sleep tracker is actually capable of any accurate data and is at this stage not much more than a gimmick.

- Blood oxygen tracking not available, with no projected release date?

- No Spotify integration? Who uses Pandora?

-Another thing that disappointed me was the charts. For example the 24hr HR chart reads as Morning/Afternoon/Evening rather than the actual time.... Being able to match heart rate readings to specific times is surely the point of it. The vagueness of morning/Afternoon/evening imo adds to the gimmicky feeling of the HR tracking.

This watch just does not feel market ready in it's current iteration.

I love the idea of fitness tracking watches but in their current stage it seems to me to be far more sensible to use a phone/armstap combo with my polar HR monitor for much more accurate and in depth tracking.

Do most people feel the same way or am I alone with these complaints?

That's fair enough if it isn't working for you, like you say it's a lot of money.

Personally I haven't experienced what you have described. That's not to say others have/haven't. One issue I was having though was a problem with syncing, thankfully that seems to have sorted itself out, but was frustrating.

As for the HR chart, if you expand it in the app using the little square box in the top right corner, you can then touch any point on the graph to display the exact time and BPM like in the screenshot below. I guess it could be a bit more obvious and not so hidden away.

Ah I missed that. I did expand the graph but did not see you could highlight a point within the graph. Many thanks for clearing that up.
