Fitbit Ionic is the premium model in you lineup and I paid for the ability to access music using my watch. This convenience does come at a price, in the over $200 price range.
So why isn't the fact of REQUIRED PREMIUM SPOTIFY SUBSCRIPTION told to users upfront. I went through the purchase, the clunky back and forth of Spotify and and the Fitbit Connect desktop setup only to be told after the installs that a "Spotify premium subscription is required" for something that is usually accessible no further than my phone with the Spotify app.
I'm sorry to say I had high hopes for this watch and it's a Highly Disappointing purchase so far.

That is a decision made by Spotify and not by Fitbit. Also other brands such as Garmin also require Spotify Premium to transfer playlists to the watch. Even their £750 Fenix 6 Pro Solar needs Spotify Premium so it's not just Fitbit!
