Wi-Fi and sync issues
New watch that failed repeatedly during initial update. I had to push speed left and right bottom buttons to get it to reset. Watch seem to work but will not connect to Wi-Fi consistently or hold it. I have to forget watch on iPhone’s Bluetooth and reset watch again for it to briefly find wi-Fi. No matter where I put the watch in relation to my wifi, it seems to have no effect My roommate has a fit bit watch and isn’t having the same trouble. Suggestions?

I have always been a fitbit fan first was charge HR and then upgraded to ionic after a long wait for laucla in india. So disappointed it just refuses to sync just after receiving within 2 days had to return it . This looks like a big issue as a lot of people are experiencing the same. I hope they come up with a rectified device soon as they have got a winner at hand. WiFi also was not working and app download also failed.

I'm not sure what is going on @Geoffreycco but Bluetooth has nothing to do with wifi. Telling the phones Bluetooth to forget the Ionic should not have any effect on the wifi.
WiFi is not used when syncing your Fitbit data. WiFi can be used when transferring music and will update the apps.
WiFi will only turn on while the tracker is plugged in and charging.
Are you saying when the phone is plugged in, the Ionic will not connect to WiFi?
You say that there is a sync issue, sync does use Bluetooth and removing the tracker from the list of bluetooth devices is one of the ways to fix a second nc issue.
Restarting the phone and/or the tracker also usually works.

Thanks for the help and explanation on wifi vs Bluetooth functionality.
Rebooting the watch and iphone, while kinda annoying, seem to work on the sync issue. I hope a better solution comes w/ an update. I do use a Bluetooth-equipped motorcycle helmet to my iphone, which I turn off after riding. Still, I wonder if using another Bluetooth device interferes w/ the fitbit. I'll try and run a few experiments w/ not using the helmet Bluetooth for a few days.
I'm still having issues w/ WiFi, regardless if the fitbit is at 100%, plugged in or sitting on my wifi. For example: If I go to change the clock face, I get an annoying popup every couple of seconds that lasts for a few seconds saying, "Unable to connect to Ionic..." It goes away and comes back, repeatedly. If I go to set up wifi, it finds none.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions on that. Thx!

The clock face error I believe is when the app is trying to connect to the ionic through Bluetooth.once the app connects to the tracker, the face can be updated through either Bluetooth or wifi .

WiFi is not needed to download apps @Jeet_mane and the ionic must be plugged in and charging for wifi to be turned on.
As for as it bring an issue, it usually gets traced to some hardware, phone or ionic, not responding. Many timed when my tracker has problems syncing I've noticed I'm also unable to get my phone to print. As for sync problems, if we knew the phone model, we probably could help.
