I'm close to sending my iconic back!!  Got it Sunday and I am still having wifi trouble. It connected when I first set it up but now won't stay on wifi and no longer recognizes my wifi. I've removed the device and started over but that only made things worse.

Have you got the update done?

What exactly are you looking to be connected to WiFi for?

If I recall correctly your Ionic is only going to use WiFi when needed and usually will want to be charging. I could be a bit misinformed but this is what I gather is the case in regards to WiFi.

Well I can't get it to change the face on the phone. Also, currently it is not connecting to the wifi at all. It just says locating.

One other thing, when I rotate my arm to check the time, it doesn't come on.
Just frustrated.
Thank

I've done the update today.

When you go to account page in the app under the Iconic it says it loading. It's been loading for 2 days now. Why?

i can't anything to change, the clock face, change the weather and I'm frustrated.

Thanks

Forget the WiFi for the minute, how is the Bluetooth connection with whatever you’re syncing with working? That’s what you need in order to start playing with clock faces etc.

After a quick test away from WiFi I am able to still change faces so as Mike says this seems more to do with Bluetooth. Any chance you are on Android?

Hey Kaila, personally I am running on an iPhone 6 with the newest firmware on it and don’t have issues too often. Anytime I have it has been similar to what you describe. I have had it happen both with my Ionic and Blaze and to solve it I log out of the Fitbit app, restart the tracker and phone and it clears it up. My mom uses a Surge and this clears up any issue she gets with syncing.

Hope this helps but if you are running an iPhone 8 you may have a slightly larger issue in that it is considered not 100% compatible right yet.

This is the problem I'm having. My iPad will recognize my iconic but my phone won't. I tried to disconnect my device yesterday from my phone and it is now just spinning looking for it. I'm going to try again today!

Ohhhhhhhhh!!!

This may be of help to you. I had a very similar issue with my blaze back when I bought my iPad. Your Fitbit will only link with one device at a time. What I did to fix this is I turned off Bluetooth on my iPad and strictly sync from my phone and if I want to use the app from my iPad I use it knowing it might not be the up to the second updated.

Now if my phone is not around and I want to update I just turn on iPads Bluetooth and it is all good.

Hope this is the case for you as well.

Exactly this.

A Fitbit tracker is only capable of talking to one device at a time and the relationship is pretty exclusive so I do exactly the same and keep Bluetooth off on the iPad.

Christmas day, second ionic, still driving me insane. I'm about to downgrade back to the charge 2. The wifi connection is a necessity, but just like the first one I got, it won't stay connected for more than a day or two. I thought the issue was the ionic itself, but it persists. My phone and everything else in the house, and when I'm at work stays connected just fine. It's pretty clear this is a Fitbit app problem. Are they still working on this?

They released this without working out all bugs. Should never have been released.
