Will Fitbit keep updating Ionic so it is a functional item even though it is no longer being sold?

@Ericws It's nice to see you in the Fitbit Community. I'm glad to see that you're using Fitbit Ionic. 

There will be support for Fitbit Ionic. If there is a new firmware update available in the future, it will be posted in the Fitbit Community and you should receive a notification to update too. 

As a side note, last week there was a new firmware update released. Rest assure that your comments and feedback help us to continue improving and implementing features.

Thank you for replying.  I have overall had a great 2 1/2 year experience with my Ionic, so I am hoping that I can keep using it.
