I feel like Fitbit is really missing the target here...

 

Apple charges 30% per app, $100 licensing yearly licensing fee. Fitbit could charge half that and make out like bandits. This would help provide incentive for developers to expand the app universe and a great source of revenue. 

 

Please tell me this is going to change.

It's great to have you here @JonRFit! Currently, I don't have any information about this feature. However, you can post it in our Feature Suggestion board, those ideas are viewed by our engineers and developers. 

 

As soon as any idea is implemented, the status of the idea will change.
