Will this Smart Watch work with my Android phone LG 5G?

I recently bought a Blaze. I was disappointed because it does not stay synced with my phone and I cannot get the notifications either because of this. When I contacted support they told me my tracker isn't compatible. I asked if the Ionic is made to be compatible with my android phone? I was told it is not made to be compatible with all phones yet .Anyways, I am confused it is a new device and I feel if Fitbit wants to compete in this market they should make their devices to be more compatible with more types of phones. Now I am debating with I should return my phone. At first I was going to exchange it but I think I am going to encounter the same issue as I am with my Blaze.

Compared to iOS (one manufacturer, which fully controls both hardware and software, very few models), Android Bluetooth compatibility is much more complex: a bunch of different manufacturers, Google makes the base software, but each manufacturer can add their own proprietary layer on top of it, hundreds of different models, including cheaper ones where it can be tempting for manufacturers to cut corners at the expense of full compatibility with standards (e.g. in the case of Bluetooth 4.0 LE). Check the compatibility list from Garmin, not all Android phones are compatible with all of their devices. What specific Android phone model do you have? If your Blaze can’t work with it properly, chances are the situation will be the same with the Ionic, unfortunately.

I've had very good luck with the Moto series of phones working with my Fitbit Surge; it seems Lenovo has imbued the Moto phones with a fully functional Android implementation but with virtually no bloatwear (like Samsung does with the Galaxy series).  The thing I like most about my latest Moto (the Moto-Z Play) is the three to four day battery life even with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and everything else running.  Oh, and then there's the price; just under $350 from Amazon.  🙂
