Morning,
Woke up this morning to my Fitbit telling me I'd walked 21068 steps, all between 1:15-1:30am...
Is there anyway to fix this because now all my stats are out for the day and I use the app to track my calories 🤔
I use the Fitbit ionic.

My sleepwalking record was over 120,000 steps 🤐
You got a lot of steps within 15 minutes, sounds more like a glitch than sleepwalking. Do you have multiple trackers? Is there a fan or something vibrating near where you sleep? Have you reset your Ionic?

@Williger Yeah it's definitely a glitch- I wish I could burn that many calories in 15 minutes
I don't have multiple trackers, no vibrations near where I sleep and a reset on the Fitibit still says I've done 20,000 more steps than I've actually done!
I can probably let it slide and hope it doesn't happen again, I just find it so quick and easy using the Fitbit app to track cals in/out!

Several people recently reported sleepwalk with various devices, both with Android and iOS.
In my cases, sleepwalk has occurred once a month since January and never before.
I exported the archived data from the dashboard and found the steps were recorded just in one minute.
I think support should investigate into this issue.

@Taka39 mine's legitimate sleepwalking, I'm down from 256 to 169lbs and unusually tired, LOL. I've actually taken Fitbit logs to medical professionals before but gave up on that pursuit and just accept that my body must like moving or something. In @KateYounger's case, there's definitely something funky going on there cuz nobody can step up that much in such a short time. I've been known to get my last 1000 steps right before midnight and that's approximately 10 minutes. @KateYounger you hadn't replied to my query about resetting. If you've not yet done so, generally this will clear the cache and get the Ionic working properly again. Fitbits are miniature computers and sometimes benefit from restarting them. Generally. Hold the bottom left and bottom right buttons for ~12 seconds, if that doesn't do it, hold all 3 buttons for around 20 seconds or until the Fitbit logo shows up. Alternately, it may be something with the app and not the tracker and as you only have one it's difficult to know for sure but I'd make sure the app is up to date on whatever devices you use.

@Williger The steps from exported data were like these and I can't walk 16K steps or swing my arms 16K times in just one minute while sleeping, LOL.

I reported the issue to the support and they said they were aware of it as app's bug and started the investigation.

@Taka39 definitely two separate issues; sleepwalking and glitches. In my circumstance, I've used video surveillance to validate sleepwalking. Fortunately, I was able to curtail sleep-eating but that's another story. With this glitch that Fitbit is acknowledging, might you have a tech support link from them you could share? Did they say if they're working on a solution or just that they're aware of the bug? Where are you getting that log data from? Is your glitch also exclusively to the Ionic? I have occasionally had weird logs but nothing like either of you are describing and have been wearing Ionic for quite some time sleeping.

@Williger The support just used their standard phrases "we are aware of the problem ... is taking action to resolve it as soon as possible", and closed the support ticket! All logs can be exported and downloaded from https://www.fitbit.com/settings/data/export. Unzipping the file and then you will find "steps-YYYY-MM-DD.json files under <username>/Physical Activity/. These are my problematic logs and from before and after.

There have been more than 2.4 million step logs since 2012 but Olympian level of steps (over 300 per minute) are only these three. Note that step timestamp is UTC but sleep your local time. Mine is Charge 4.
