Won’t light up when I turn my wrist to my face?

When I look at my Fitbit it stays dark. It is on, working and charged, but it will not light up when I point it at my face. I thought there was a setting for this but I can’t find it??

Hold in left side button a few seconds;  look for 'Screen Wake'; tap to toggle on or off.

You might have reconfigured the left button, which didn't use to be an option.  If so, it should be on the screen above clock face; i.e. scroll up (swipe down) from clock, tap on 2 white ovals that show briefly at top to get into Quick Settings.  In quick settings, it is the icon of watch with green background.
