Won’t start tracking workouts

When I first bought my Ionic I started a run workout just to see if it worked, which it did. It started the timer and showed all the normal stats. Since then I’ve been trying to start a workout for real but my watch won’t let me start any of them without entering a credit card to pay with my watch. I don’t want to pay with my watch! I just want it to track me while I run/bike/swim!! Plus FitBit doesn’t even support either of my cards. Does anyone know a way around this so I can just start a workout without waiting for FitBit to support my credit cards?

@Devonj42 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! What exact message are you getting on your Ionic? Is it prompting you to enter the 4 digit code, or is it telling you somethiong different?

If it is telling you something different, please share a picture of that.

If it is asking to enter the 4 digit code you might like to disable the device lock feature:

  • Open the Fitbit App.
  • Tap your watch's tile (Ionic's picture on top left corner).
  • Swipe down to "Device Lock" and disable it.

It shouldn't ask you to enter any 4 digit code again. Check the picture below, that is what shows when Ionic asks you to enter the 4 digit code:

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

@SantiR Thanks for responding! I actually talked a rep. on the phone and got it figured out. Just some shortcut button confusion and app moving around. Problem is solved and all workout modes are working fine.

Thanks again!

@Devonj42 Thanks for your reply! I'm very glad to hear that support was able to help you out with this!

If you happen to know some details about the workaround that helped you out, please share them here. I'm sure some users will find that helpful!

Additionally, have you checked the Feature Suggestions Board? If you have any ideas for future features you would like to see on your Fitbit device this is the best place for asking. Feel free to search for existing feature suggestions or add you own original one!

See you around! Smiley Happy
